The City of Sao Paulo's official online tourism guide is an excellent source of information about Brazil's largest city. One of the highlights on the guide is a series of theme tours which offer visitors an overview of main attractions as well as close-ups of metropolis life.
The tours are made available by receptive tour operators in a partnership with São Paulo Turismo, the official tourism agency.
One of the tour options is, for example, the Glamour tour. You can discover the best of the city's high-end stores, spas, art galleries and restaurants - and perhaps get there by helicopter.
The Religions tour takes visitors to some of the city's churches, synagogues, mosques and Buddhist temples.
Other tours cover romantic places, spas, parks, and more.
Another great option for tourists is Turismetrô, the subway tour of great landmarks near subway stations.
There are six tours to choose from, all of them departing from the Sé Station on the Blue Line (Linha Azul) on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
