The Bottom Line
One of the more affordable Windsor hotels in Rio de Janeiro, the Windsor Palace is located on a quiet street one block away from Copacabana Beach at Posto 4 (Lifeguard Station 4). Not one of the newest hotels in Rio, the Windsor Palace is nevertheless OK for a budget trip. The hotel has a small pool and a restaurant open for all meals (breakfast is included in the rate). You won't depend on the hotel meals as you're near several affordable restaurants.

The Windsor Plaza comes up as a good solution for travelers who want to stay in Copacabana, near shops, restaurants, the beach and its New Year's Eve celebration, with standard comforts and for lower prices than those charged by Copacabana beachfront hotels.
The Windsor Plaza has 18 floors. Choose rooms above the 12th floor if you would like a partial view of the ocean.
On the terrace, there is a pool, a bar and a sauna, with an unobstructed view of the sea.
