The 29th Oktoberfest Blumenau will feature international and local bands playing traditional German music, German pop music and other styles.
The festival has performances in the Oktoberfest pavilion at the German Village, during the parades on Rua XV de Novembro and at the City Hall Square, Dr. Blumenau Square, Vila Itoupava, German Village and on a stage on Rua XV de Novembro.
International Bands at Oktoberfest Blumenau 2012:
There are always popular international groups in Oktoberfest Blumenau. This year, the German attractions are:
- Frankenx-Press from Bessenbach, Bavaria
Performing at Oktoberfest Blumenau for the first time, the band celebrates rock and pop classics as well as German folk music.
- Deggendorfer Stadl-Musikanten from Hengersberg, Bavaria
The band with 19 members has been in Oktoberfest Blumenau twice before. They are known for their varied repertoire which includes great folk hits.
- Die Karolinenfelder from Grosskarolinenfeld, Bavaria
The band from Upper Bavaria has performed in four previous editions of the festival. They play from old folk classics to pop hits.
National Bands:
In Oktoberfest Blumenau 2012, featured national bands include local groups such as Banda Cavalinho, Stadtkapelle, Banda do Barril, Os Montanari and Choppmotorrad, as well as attractions from other Southern towns such as Pomerode, Gaspar and Jaraguá do Sul in Santa Catarina.
