Ubatuba, on São Paulo's North Coast, celebrates New Year's Eve - which Brazilians usually refer to by the French term Réveillon - with great fireworks. The city started 2008 with 350,000 tourists and fireworks on four beaches.
The photos in this gallery were taken on Cruzeiro Beach and on beachfront Iperoig Avenue, in the central area of Ubatuba.
