Freeway, a reliable ecotourism operator in Brazil, is offering tours of São Miguel do Gostoso and Galinhos, beautiful and preserved destinations near Natal.

The tours, called "Rio Grande do Norte Paradises", take travelers to the region's best beaches, sand dunes and cultural attractions.

One of the top choices is the seven-day Rio Grande do Norte: 4x4 - São Miguel do Gostoso e Galinhos. This tour on four-wheel drive vehicles starts with a stay in Natal. Then it goes to São Miguel do Gostoso, or simply Gostoso, less than 70 miles away, with stops at beaches, dunes and the Sacred Art Museum in Touros.

After two nights in Gostoso, the tour heads to Tourinhos, along a rocky dotted with cacti. In Tourinhos, the highlight is the natural lookout point from which you can see the Whale Spout, one of the most interesting natural phenomena in Rio Grande do Norte, which takes place when a rock with a gap is hit by crashing waves.

In Galinhos, about 100 miles from Natal, travelers can explore the sand dunes, beaches, lighthouse, and the fisherman's village placed between a river and the sea.

One day is reserved for a boat trip to Dunas do Capim, some of the most impressive sand dunes in the area.
