Safari's Farm

By , About.com Guide

Safari's Farm Overview:

Families with kids have a chance to experience the routines of Brazil rural life - with some unusual animals for Brazil standards - at Safari's Farm, a hotel fazenda (farm hotel) in Tibagi, near Ponta Grossa.

Buffalo, antelope, ostriches, and llamas are some of the animals raised at Safari's Farm, which also has peacocks, aviaries with macaws, and more traditional farm animals - cows, horses and sheep.

Activities at Safari's Farm:

The whole family can go horse riding, visit the soy fields on nearby Fazenda da Praia and a mineral water bottling facility, or camp by a river at Recanto Monjolo.

Go hiking in native woods, spend some quiet time fishing, or take a leisurely ride on a horse carriage. Kids will enjoy learning how to milk a cow and saddle a horse.
