July Weather

July is the coldest month of the year in a great part of Brazil. However, while in Santa Catarina, in the South, you may even see snow, winter temperatures are mild to hot in the northeast and north. July is also a great time to visit Rio, if you don't mind going without temperatures in the 90s.

Cold fronts can cause sudden and extreme temperature drops in the Southeast and the South or heavy rains in the northeast. On the other hand, low humidity makes parts of the Central-West, for example Brasília, challenging for people with respiratory problems.

In São Paulo, conditions that don't help the dispersion of pollution may also be hard on travelers during the winter months.
