Leblon kiosks are not as fancy as the ones in Copacabana, but you can count on them for some icy cold coconut water and other drinks. Some kiosks serve snacks. The one pictured doesn't, but it's a popular spot for locals, who enjoy resting from their morning walk and chatting with friends over fresh coconuts.
Coconut water is not the same as coconut milk. It's the clear, highly hydrating fluid inside green coconuts, a favorite beach drink in Brazil. The server cuts a hole atop the coconut with a big knife and you just drink the water from a straw. In Leblon, coconut water costs R$ 2,50.
The kiosk in front of Rua José Linhares serves snacks, from french fries (R$ 9) to a fried shrimp platter for R$30.
