Traveling in Brazil is one of Patricia's passions. Born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in Rio and São Paulo, she has been traveling extensively around Brazil all her life. She has stayed in youth hostels and upscale hotels, hiked in a rainforest, floated in a canoe over a submerged waterfall in the Amazon, and covered long stretches of the coast.
She and her family call two places home: Carrollton, Texas, and Atibaia, near São Paulo.
Patricia has worked as an English teacher, a writer, and an English-Portuguese translator. In the United States, she was a content developer for an online guide to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, writing mainly about events and dining.
Patricia has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of São Paulo, in Brazil. She has studied Spanish and French and taken several courses in Education and Writing.
She has a deep interest in Brazilian and North American native art and culture, which she has studied informally for nearly 20 years.
By Patricia Ribeiro:
I have a deep love for my country and greatly enjoy traveling its vast expanses. There's always a new beach, nature preserve, colonial town or hidden mountain village to explore.
It's a great pleasure for me to help people find new angles to favorite places and discover destinations they might not have thought of before. Brazil is continuously rediscovering itself, and it's exciting to be part of that process.
