The Champion's Parade, the event which closes Sambódromo Carnival in Rio de Janeiro Carnival, will be tomorrow at 9 p.m. The parade always features the winner of the Special Group - this year, Unidos da Tijuca - and samba schools from 2nd to 6th place, in reverse order.

Tomorrow, the sequence will be:

  1. Mangueira
  2. Salgueiro
  3. Unidos de Vila Isabel
  4. Beija-Flor
  5. Grande Rio
  6. Unidos da Tijuca

The Champions' Parade is a great event in Brazil Carnival, with samba schools freed from the pressure to score points, but still eager to show why they deserved to be there. According to Brazil press reports today, Unidos da Tijuca and the other samba schools might still have some surprises in store for tomorrow. Let's hope so!
