Get Fit for Your Brazil Summer Travel

Tuesday July 29, 2008

July is about to end, Brazilian kids are getting ready to go back to school after their winter break and we're bracing ourselves up for the cold fronts that hit the country in August. The signals are clear: it's time to start planning for the Brazilian summer.

For Brazilians and international tourists, this is an ideal time to start getting in shape, and not just so you look your best should you decide to buy some Brazilian beachwear or make the most of the right swimsuit for your body type .

Most importantly, this is a great chance to gradually build up your stamina and get your body prepared for touring Brazil in high temperatures. What are some of the best and most affordable ways to prepare for intense sightseeing, dancing at Carnival and maybe handling a few extras on the side, like taking your whole family on a bike ride in Copacabana (photo)? Walking and cycling

Two of my favorite resources for getting in shape are the guide for beginners from the About.com Guide to Walking and the tips about how to bike your way to a better body in the About.com Guide to Bicycling. Take advantage of your summertime and kick-start your Brazil summer travel fitness program.
