Women's Style Essentials for Rio Travel

Friday July 4, 2008

Last night a friend and I took a taxi in Rio and the driver told us about how he dreads nights when temperatures drop around here, since his car doesn't have heating. To him, low 60s can already be considered extreme lows.

Although the notion of "cold" is relative, it's definitely winter in Rio de Janeiro right now and your packing should not be the same as around Carnival or New Year's Eve. Men will need sweatshirts and sweaters. Kids should have a raincoat - not because it rains more than in the summer, but because when it does, the rain is cooler.

I think I packed my suitcase smartly before coming to Rio last Friday. Now, as I get ready to leave, I realize I wore everything I brought and that I was ready for almost all the weather conditions I got - sunshine on the beach, warm mornings and afternoons, and cool evenings. I just wasn't ready for the heavy rain that fell today. Read these suggestions about women's style essentials for winter travel in Rio and consider visiting around this time of the year - it's just wonderful.

I completely agree with Patricia Ribeiro’s opinion about Rio de Janeiro at Winter: it is really beautiful, fantastic.
Well, Rio de Janeiro is always beautiful at anytime. But what is very interesting is the way this journalist, Patricia, describes us a country like Brazil. It is really a pleasure to read what she writes.
Congratulations,

O Rio de Janeiro é mesmo uma cidade maravilhosa, de janeiro a dezembro. Falando nisso, sábado estarei cruzando a fronteira entre São Paulo e Rio, levando no bolso as dicas da Patrícia Ribeiro.

I must tell you that after reading the suggestions that Patricia give about Rio de Janeiro and Campos do Jordão I decided to spend my next vacation that will start at next July, 14th, visiting these two Brazilian cities. s CaMpos do Jordão is on the road to Rio de Janeiro, first I’ll go there, where I’ll stay five days. After it, I’ll go to Rio, where I must stay a whole week. I and my husband have chosen a hotel at the romantic Copacabana to revive our honeymoon.
Thanks a lot, Patricia, for your very nice tips. I’m sure we’ll have a very happy time at Campos do Jordão and Rio.

Sorry for sending you the same message for the third time, but I had to correct some mistakes that I made at my other two comments!
